Allen wins second race of the season
Madesen Allen won the women's six-kilometre race to lead the Mystics to a third-place team finish at the second invitational cross country meet of the season.
The Mystics travelled to Fredericton, N.B. Saturday to compete in the second ACAA inviational meet of the year, hosted by the St. Thomas Tommies.
Madesen Allen won her second meet of the 2024 ACAA cross country race, crossing the line in first place with a time of 25:29 in the six-kilometre race, a good 30 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
Alex Frith, Abbey Keeping and Laurie MacDougall were the next MSVU runners to cross the line, placing 14th, 15th and 16th, respectively.
On the men's side, Mason Maxwell was the top finisher for the Msytics in his first race for the Mount. he placed 6th with a time of 29:16 in the eight-kilometre race. he was followed by Anthony Gallant in 17th, Erik Cabascango in 19th and Eric Palaco-Tobia in 25th.
The men finished in a tie with Holland College for third place.
Next up, the Mystics will travel to Truro, N.S. for the final invitational meet Saturday, October 5, 2024
