Volleyball Mystics defeated 3-0 by Seawolves

(Saint John, NB) Seawolves women's volleyball team is starting off the 2024-25 season with back-to back wins, placing them in the top three in the standings.
After a 3-0 win over Dal AC Rams on Saturday, October 26, the Seawolves maintained their momentum against the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics in Sunday's game (October 27) and won 3-0 (25-23, 25-15, 25-12).
UNB Saint John had an early lead in the first set. The Mystics closed the gap, but in the end, the Seawolves stayed strong, with the first set finishing 25-23. The Seawolves continued their momentum in the second set and showcased a strong performance, taking the set 25-15. In the Third set, MSVU tried to regain their footing, but it wasn't enough to beat the Seawolves, who remained dominant, winning the third set 25-12 to make it a weekend sweep.
MSVU's Catherine MacPhail earned six kills, while Hannah Huntley had four kills and eight digs.
UP NEXT: The Seawolves are on the road to take on the Mount Allison Mounties on Saturday, November 2, and Université Sainte-Anne on Sunday November 3. UNB Saint John will be back home to face the St. Thomas University Tommie's on Sunday, November 10.
