Lawtons Drugs Athletes of the Week
Maria Antle and Quinn Halsey are this week's Lawtons Athletes of the Week
Maria Antle
Second-year Defender, Maria Antle, is this week's Lawtons Athlete of the Week for Women's Soccer.
According to Head Coach Jenna Blackburn:
"Maria Antle had a standout performance in the Mystics' hard-fought 1-0 victory over UKC on Thursday night.
Playing the full 90 minutes at center back, Maria was a defensive force, winning countless balls in the air, keeping the back line organized, and shutting down the opposition’s attack. Her composure under pressure and ability to read the game were key in limiting UKC’s scoring chances and preserving the clean sheet."
Quinn Halsey
Fifth-year Captain, Quinn Halsey, is this week's Lawtons Athlete of the Week for Men's Soccer.
According to Head Coach Keiran Collins:
"Quinn played 75 strong minutes in a hard-fought 2–0 loss to UKC, anchoring the midfield with a massive defensive impact. His ability to read the game, break up play, and organize teammates was pivotal in keeping the team composed under pressure.
Beyond his on-field performance, Quinn continues to lead by example - showing composure, accountability, and commitment that sets the tone for the entire squad. His leadership and resilience embody what it means to wear the armband for the Mystics."
