Luciana Cohen
First-year libero, Luciana Cohen, is this week's Lawtons Athlete of the Week for Women's Volleyball.
According to Assistant Coach Jamie Brown:
"Luchi led the Mystics defensively in both 3–1 wins over the weekend. On Friday against DAL AC, she recorded 12 digs and 3 assists. On Sunday, she finished with 14 digs, 2 assists, and led the Mystics in serve receive."
Emma Empringham
Fourth-year forward Emma Empringham is this week's Lawtons Drugs Athlete of the Week for women's basketball!
According to Head Coach, Mark Forward:
"Emma averaged 13 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals over the weekend, impacting the game on both ends of the floor. She shot an efficient 45% from the field, including 33% from three-point range, and attacked the basket consistently, earning 13 shots from the free throw line where she converted 54%.
Beyond the numbers, Emma battled hard every possession and maintained a high compete level throughout the weekend. Her toughness, energy, and willingness to do the little things were evident to her coaches and teammates."
Chase Tynes & Isaiah Cromwell-Wright
Third-year guard Chase Tynes and fourth-year forward Isaiah Cromwell-Wright are this week's Lawtons Drugs Co-Athletes of the Week for men's basketball!
According to Head Coach, Danny De Palma:
"Chase Tynes filled up the stat sheet in two wins that clinched the top spot for the Mystics. Tynes recorded a triple‑double in Saturday’s 94–68 win, posting 13 points, 13 assists, and 10 rebounds, along with 5 steals and 3 blocks. In Sunday’s 80–68 victory, Chase had a team‑high 16 points, as well as 4 assists and 3 steals.
Isaiah Cromwell‑Wright had a game‑high 29 points and 8 rebounds in MSVU’s 94–68 win over STU on Saturday. The ACAA’s leading scorer followed that performance with a team‑high 16 points and 7 rebounds in Sunday’s 80–68 win."
