Emma Empringham
Third-year forward, Emma Empringham, is this week’s Lawtons Athlete of the Week for Women's Basketball.
According to Coach Forward: "Emma was a major spark off the Mystics bench in both the semi-final and championship game. She came in to each game with an enormous amount of energy and toughness that allowed our team to play with great confidence. She was a force on the offensive and defensive boards in both games and kept so many balls alive for our team to secure. She played an outstanding championship game, securing 15 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals, helping in a huge way to bring home the ACAA championship banner!"
A Psychology major, Emma is from Sackville, NS.
Isaiah Cromwell-Wright
Third-year forward, Isaiah Cromwell-Wright, is this week’s Lawtons Athlete of the Week for Men's Basketball.
Isaiah had a great weekend for the Mystics at the ACAA championship. He netted 10 points in his 10 minutes of play in Saturday’s 91-74 defeat of the Crandall Chargers in semifinal action. He shot 6-6 from the free throw line and shot 50% from the floor.
The next day, he scored 14 points and added eight rebounds and four steals in the Mystics loss to the UNBSJ Seawolves.
A General Studies student, Isaiah is from Dartmouth, NS.
