Lawtons Drugs Athletes of the Week
Samantha Chauder and Cole Hutchison-Mills are this week's Lawtons Drugs Athletes of the Week.
Samantha Chauder
First-year forward, Samantha Chauder, is this week’s Lawtons Athlete of the Week for Women’s Soccer.
According to Head Coach Jenna Blackburn:
“Samantha was an outstanding player for the Mystics this weekend, making a remarkable impact in the team’s opening matches as a first-year player. Starting in both games against Holland College and DALAC, Samantha showcased her versatility and skill, playing both as a striker and winger. Her ability to get on the ball and find space was key in creating multiple scoring opportunities, putting pressure on the opponents' back lines from the outset. Samantha was relentless in her play, using her pace to take on defenders 1v1. She produced quality crosses that led to several scoring opportunities for her teammates and also found the back of the net in both games, scoring one goal in each match and helping propel the Mystics to two important victories.”
A BSc Applied Human Nutrition student, Samantha is from Glace Bay, NS.
