Lauren Seamone, Madesen Allen and Andrew Omojuwa are this week's Lawtons Drugs Athletes of the Week.
Lauren Seamone
Fourth-year defenseman Lauren Seamone is this week’s Athlete of the Week for Women's Soccer.
Lauren had two standout performances for MSVU this week. She was dominant in the air and exceptional in 1v1 defending while helping to lead the Mystics' attack, scoring the game-winning goals in both victories over UKC and Crandall University. Both shots were top shelf finishes from over 30 yards. She created numerous more chances in both games including tallying 2 assists.
A Bachelor of Education student, Lauren is from Bridgewater, NS.
Madesen Allen
First-year Mystic Madesen Allen is this week's Athlete of the Week for Cross Country.
Madesen placed first in the ACAA meet on September 14th. In her first race as a Mystic, she finished with a time of 26:13.9 in the six-kilometre race and led the Mystics women's team to a second-place team finish.
A Public Relations student, Madesen is from Dartmouth, NS.
Andrew Omojuwa
First-year midfielder Andrew Omojuwa is this week's Athlete of the Week for Men's Soccer.
Andrew’s technical ability, confidence to dominate the central area of the field, and "attacking mindset" helped MSVU Mystics secure 4 points this week. His goal in the September 11th match against UKC secured a 1-1 draw for the Mystics. He also scored in the Mystics 2-0 win over visiting Crandall on Sunday, September 15th.
A Masters of Communication Studies student, Andrew is from Lagos, Nigeria.
