Victoria Strickland, Hannah Huntley and Jaydan Smith are this week's Lawtons Drugs Athletes of the Week.
Victoria Strickland
Fourth-year forward, Victoria Strickland, is this week’s Lawtons Athlete of the Week for women's basketball.
According to Coach Forward, Victoria "helped lead the team to two road wins at St. Thomas University. She averaged 16.5 points per game. Victoria scored on all three levels, at the rim, from behind the arc and at the free throw line. She shot 78% from the free throw line going 7 for 9 and 50% from the three-point line hitting on 6 of 12 shots. Victoria was also a factor on the boards averaging 5.5 per game. In Sunday’s game she sparked the team with a 10-0 personal run to help seal the victory and was named player of the game."
A Biology and Psychology student, Victoria is from St.John's, NL.
Hannah Huntley
Fourth-year libero, Hannah Huntley, is this week’s Lawtons Athlete of the Week for women's volleyball.
Hannah led the Mystics to a 3-2 win over UKC with 14 kills, 5 aces and 12 digs.
A Tourism and Hospitality Management student, Hannah is from Truro, NS.
Jaydan Smith
Fifth-year guard, Jaydan Smith, is this week’s Lawtons Athlete of the Week for men's basketball.
According to Coach De Palma, Jaydan "led us in scoring in both of our wins over the weekend, including a game-high 30 points in Sunday's win." Jaydan also secured 15 points during the Saturday game, plus five rebounds & two assists.
A General Studies student, Jaydan is from Beechville, NS.
